Strategies for
Playing Baccarat
Since you are only required to make one decision for play
and this is prior to the snap of the cards, Baccarat is a
simple game to play.
Since you have no information regarding the cards as the
bet is made, no information regarding the history of play
nor the implementation of any particular specific decision
pattern is of any help.
In spite of this the following principles may be employed
to aid in winning:
- Do not bet on the banker’s hand unless the commission
is less than 20%.
- Even though the ‘tie’ option has a payout
of 8 to 1, the chance of winning is 15 times worse than
the other betting options. Therefore it is wise to not
bet on the option of ‘tie’. Never bet on "Tie" – it
pays 8 or 9 times better but the chances are about 15 times
worse then other betting options.
- Select a casino to play in that allows for play with
fewer decks and takes a smaller commission. Of the opportunities
now available the best is usually that which offers a 6-deck
card game and a 4% commission when you bet on the banker’s
hand.
